(Huffington Post) You can also avoid bad effects of these sites by communicating with the colleges or companies you are interested in. If you can keep your statuses appropriate, then adding colleges and employers as a friend will impress these colleges and businesses. Communicating with these colleges about business or education related topics can make you look more prepared and responsible. (The Post Chronicle News)I think that the best way to avoid being a victim is by communicating with colleges and businesses you are interested in. When you communicate with these colleges and businesses, you will prove that you are responsible and have nothing to hide. If you set your privacy settings so that businesses and colleges cannot view your information, they may become suspicious and wonder what you have to hide.
